SAPERE AUDE: AIDS HILFE WIEN (2024)

AT, MUSIC ONLY, INFOCARDS: ENGLISH, GERMAN, 11:00;
STATUS: PREMIERED;

This short dance film, produced on behalf of Aidshilfe Wien, combines artistic expression with preventive education. The story follows a dancer whose carefree exploration of her own sexuality takes a life-changing turn due to a moment of carelessness during passionate encounters. The title - “Dare to Be Wise” - reflects the film’s core message: a plea for sexual health literacy, self-determination, and responsible stewardship of one’s own body. By combining dance, flamenco, and drag elements, Martin Willibald Meisl creates an aesthetic platform to convey knowledge about HIV and sexual health in a way that is destigmatized and easily accessible.
